This is the most common form of ultrasound. It is the traditional black and white two-dimensional flat image that shows the skeletal structure of the baby and makes the internal organs visible.
3D ultrasound is an advanced medical imaging technique that uses sound waves to create three-dimensional renderings of structures inside the body. 3D provides detailed, lifelike images of the fetus in the womb.
4D ultrasound imaging combines the principles of 3D ultrasound with real-time imaging. This means that not only can you see a three-dimensional image of the baby, but you can also observe its movements, such as facial expressions or limb movements, in real time.
This is the latest technology that aims to provide superior resolution and an even more lifelike and detailed image of the baby in real time. This type of ultrasound offers more of a “flesh tone” appearance.
